Timing and Complexity

Timing and Complexity

With certain skills, there is a timing game when adding complexity.

As the basics are being learned, there should be no extra obstacles.

All focus is on fundamentals. Then we add friction.

The next stage should often feel "almost out of reach" or "just out of reach".

If we add complexity too soon, we can undermine our efforts at the start.

Add complexity too late and we can stagnate or undershoot potential.

The timing primarily depends on individual rate of adaptability, set time horizon, and the current goals established.
